The TriRock Philly Kids Rock is a timed fun run that will take place at the TriRock Philadelphia Finish Line area which is located just off Martin Luther King Drive, near the base of Black Road in Fairmount Park. The dashes & runs will be held on paved closed roads on Martin Luther King Drive.
The Expo is open on Friday, June 24 from 12 pm to 7 pm and on Saturday, June 25 from 10 am to 4 pm. PLEASE NOTE: You may pick up your packet at the Expo at any time on Friday, but Packet Pick Up for the TriRock Philly Kids Rock closes at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 25, so please make sure you’re at the Expo before 10:45 am. IN ORDER TO START THE KIDS RACES ON TIME, WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY PACKETS TO BE PICKED UP AFTER 11:00 am on Saturday. PLEASE ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 10:45 am EVEN THOUGH THE KIDS RACES DON’T START UNTIL 12:00 pm.
The TriRock Philadelphia Triathlon Expo Tent on Smith Memorial Field is located at North Concourse Drive & Landsdowne Avenue (Please Touch Museum).
PARKING: Park at the Please Touch Museum – 4231 Avenue of the Republic, Philadelphia, PA 19131.
REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK-UP FORMAT:
When you arrive at the Expo, there will be a large tented area where packet pick-up for all of the races is located. There will be signs for “TriRock Philly Kids Rock” and volunteers to help guide you. A parent or a legal guardian and participant must be present during athlete check-in to sign waivers.
FEE: $20 includes a USAT one day fee for event participation.
*Registration is open to the first 200 kids who register and may not be open on race weekend so please register early.

Step #1 – Waiver Pick-Up
Here you will receive a waiver that must be signed by each participant and/or legal guardian, even if the participant has already registered.
Step #2 – Packet Pick-up
This is where you pick up your race number.
Step #3 – Leave the Expo by 11:30 am and walk down Black Road to Martin Luther King Drive. Start area is located at the Finish Line bleachers for final instructions.
Race bibs (number) and safety pins will be provided. Safety pins are to pin the race bib to the front of the participant’s top. Each child will also receive a participant medal and T-Shirt.
Start time 12:00 pm, once each group finishes the next group will start.
1-3 year olds: 50 yards
Participants will meet at finish line and will then be escorted out on course to the 50 yard mark where they will run back to the finish.
4-5 year olds: 100 yards
Immediately following the finish of the 1-3 year olds
Participants will be called to the finish line when the 50 yard dash has been completed where they will be escorted out on the course to the 100 yard mark where they will run back to the finish.
6-7 year olds: 200 yards
Immediately following the finish of the 4-5 year olds
Participants will be called to the finish line when the 100 yard dash has been completed where they will be escorted out on the course to the 200 yard mark where they will run back to the finish.
8-10 year olds: 1 mile
Immediately following the finish of the 6-7 year olds
Participants will be called to the finish line when the 200 yard dash has been completed. The 8-10 year olds will start at the finish line, run ½ mile on the run course to the turn-around, and then run a ½ mile back to the finish.
11-14 year olds: 1 mile
Immediately following the finish of the 8-10 year olds
Participants will be called to the finish line when the mile has been completed. The 11-14 year olds will start at the finish line, run ½ mile on the run course to the turn around, and then run a ½ mile back to the finish line.
The run course will be on paved closed roads on Martin Luther King Drive. Please make sure your child knows what division he/she is in, as we will be referring to division to help direct participants along the course.
There will be one aid station at the start of each race and one aid station on the run course and at the finish. Aid stations will be supplied with water.
All finishers will receive commemorative medals.
