Important Race Weekend Information
The standard division for participants is the Age Group division, athletes will compete in their respective age group. For more Age Group division information please see the USAT Official Rules. Please email: firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
The TriRock Relay
For those who prefer to race one element of the triathlon TriRock is offering a relay division. Relay teams will consist of three (3) members, each member will complete one segment of the event and “pass the baton” to the next member in the Transition Zone. There are no age groups for the relay division, all relay racers will compete for the fastest overall time.
The AquaBike program gives athletes the opportunity to compete in a category where they will complete the swim and bike portions of the race, while omitting the run leg of the race. New in 2015, we are offering an AquaBike category for the Intermediate distance only. Please note: there are no relay options available for this event. It is an individual event only.
Military/Public Servant Division
To qualify for the military division and public servant division, one must be an active member of The United States Military or employed by a government department or agency (i.e. Police, Fireman, Paramedic). Men and women will compete separately for the overall titles within the division. There will be NO age group distinctions. For more information please contact email@example.com
To qualify for the Clydesdale/Athena division male athletes must weigh 220+ lbs. and females 165+ lbs. Athletes will be weighed during awards for confirmation.
Triathlon Club Challenge
Triathletes competing in the Triathlon Club Challenge will compete against other tri clubs. The top ten tri clubs will receive a post-race finish area for athletes to relax.

Gear Check will be provided starting at 6:15 AM.
Participant parking will be in the San Diego Convention Center parking lot. The entrance is located off of Harbor Drive. Between 5:30 and 6:00 AM, SDPD will be closing off portions of Harbor Drive to secure the Race course. At this time, and for the rest of the day, Participants and Spectators will be able to access Harbor drive from the South at Cesar E. Chavez Parkway (Exit 14B) from the 5 South Freeway.
Parking at the Convention Center is $15/car, so carpool is highly encouraged.
Please note there is a Low Clearance Height (8’3″) at the Convention Center and all bike racks mounted on top of a vehicle will not be allowed to enter.
Additional parking may be found near Petco Park and in the downtown area. Participants will be able to access the Venue and Transition area by walking over the pedestrian Bridge at Park Avenue next to Petco Park.
